I like the idea of the Merch Shelf, but I would like to be able to put my stuff on it. We make camping gear, it would be cool to sell i right off the video, instead of going to our website. The Teespring deal is cool if you want to sell T shirts…

DAMN…I really wish he could just help grow my youtube channel

  3. Pretty Scary says

Looks like a great feature – good work YouTube. I'm upset that I may never be eligible though – as an FX channel it's hit or miss as to whether I will ever be accepted back as a partner (after they removed monetisation for us smaller channels), and the only answer I seem to get about FX channels and their eligibility is 'it's a grey area'.

Still, I won't give up, and will make my channel work – even if it means talking it elsewhere ☹. I love YouTube but, at the moment, it does feel rather like running around blindfold, surrounded by poisonous wasps…with big holes to fall into…

i did not understand the referal thing?? what do u mean?

  5. TreasureDivers says

I hadn't considered merchandising before, If Youtube are backing it then it will probably be a good move. I'm just gonna get some stuff made and add a link to my website . This tool might not be available to me but the idea is !!

  7. Jay Malone says

The merchandise shelf is not rolled out to everyone yet, even if they meet the requirements! I have found this out!!!

  8. dochickstv says

So you only make a $1 per sale? You don't make a percentage off every shirt if the shirt is $25??? I never get a response but hey maybe one day Darral will acknowledge my existence.

  9. Sean's DIY & Reviews says

No products yet. Why did you blur your teespring accout? I was going to use your code and make you money. LOL.

  10. Andy Cap says

I live in the UK, so I miss out, YouTube isn't being fair here, they are bias towards US creators.

Get your act together YouTube for fairness sake!

  11. Sysel says

    Yet I still can't have sponsor chat…

  12. Nisha Davdra says

Sounds like a great idea but feeling left out being in the UK

I'll let the big guys answer. I'm a small channel but I do have a question about the 4,000 watch time. I don't understand how watch hour works. I've been putting videos everyday. I been having the subscriber and growing but what worries me is the watch time why one day it goes up and the next minutes it goes down. For instance 2 days ago it was 1,917 today I checked and it is 1,908 This has been happening it started. why is this happening?

  14. Post Kreditz says

$$$ So let me get this straight. We design the shirts. We drive traffic to get the sales for the shirts, and we get $1 for each? That doesn't seem right. Did I miss something?

  15. Robert Ostman says

ok… 1st question… what about those creators living outside of USA??… are there options like this for them, any options??… who takes care of shipping??… and what about taxation??… are we going to have also accounting services included??

  16. Estilocracia says

Hello Derral, thanks for your video. Do you know when is going to be in Mexico? Saludos!

  17. ThatsTheWayWeRoll says

Our opinion is something totally different than anything we see mentioned in the postings below. To us, it appears to be just another campaign in the battle between YouTube and Amazon. Amazon opened the door to videos. Now, YouTube opened the door to merchandise. Who will win in the end? (And, yes, this is being posted by a channel that has followed all the rules and met all the requirements but, yet, is still not re-monetized and still "under review".  SIGH. Well, maybe next year…) YouTube has all the time and resources to develop new projects but can't take care of the people/channels they already have?? Whatever, YouTube. Whatever. While they have had us shut down, we've been patiently waiting in the background, creating videos but holding them back. Why do we not upload them? Because, for months and months, during all this "de-monetized and review time", YouTube has been raking in 100% of the bucks for any videos that were already uploaded!! Think about that, folks! If we were to upload any more videos that qualify for monetization, they'd be raking in 100% of those NEW ones as well! (Heck, if we were unfair pirates and thieves, we'd consider doing the same thing. The longer they drag their feet, the more money in YouTube's pockets!)

  18. Robbie and Gary says

I have reached the 10,000 this week, how long will it take they youtube allows up to add in the Teespring account, as I do not have the Monetization button yet on the side bar, Thanks so much!

  19. FranknCarrie's Homestead says

I like the new tool, but as always it is for the big channels. Us little channels get screwed as always.

  20. hidconceptcom says

I should've come right to your channel. Just wasted couple hours trying to find out how and what this merchandise thing is and just ran into too many jargons w/o substance. You just hit the point after another. Thanks!

  21. Chic LadyT says

Yea well, I had the button but they took it away. I don't know what they are doing. I will probably make a video about it. Hopefully YouTube can figure it out SMH

  22. AdventureSportFlashlights says

It would be nice if we could sell actual products in the widows vs just useless crap. Thanks for the info D.

  23. Life's A BLIP says

I thinks its a great start. Not a fan of Teespring though.

  24. Music Is A Rainbow says

I just hit 10,000 subs yesterday and so far it's impossible to set up this option. Not sure why.
